Internship and Volunteer Opportunities

TFDP interns perform a variety of important tasks, gaining valuable experience while making a real contribution to improving the Texas criminal justice system.

Legal Internships

In the past, legal interns have been involved in all aspects of litigation, from writing dispositive motions to discovery practice to client contact. TFDP accepts intern applications for full-time summer positions, as well as for school-term interns. School-term interns often work via email and phone and do not need to be located in Texas.

Non-legal Internships and Volunteer Opportunities

Non-legal interns and volunteers at TFDP help answer intake requests, investigate potential cases, document court practices, and assist with administrative tasks. We are happy to work with interns on a credit, work-study, or volunteer basis.

If you are interested in internships or volunteer opportunities at TFDP, please contact Rebecca Webber.
