Submit a Complaint Online

TFDP accepts online complaints related to the indigent defense system.

Please submit a complaint online if you:

Need help requesting a court-appointed lawyer
Feel that your request for a court-appointed lawyer was wrongly denied or
Feel that you did not receive adequate representation from your court-appointed lawyer

TFDP staff will review and respond to inquiries that fall into the categories described above. TFDP does not have the capacity to respond to other complaints about the criminal justice system.

You will be redirected to the website for the Fair Defense Campaign, a website jointly operated by TFDP and the Texas Criminal Justice Coalition to answer defendants‘ questions. TFDP will receive and review your request if you submit it through the Fair Defense Campaign website.
